Chan’s spokesman has confirmed that the famed actor and equally famed director are in talks to collaborate on a project. Sadly, I can’t get as excited about this as I would have 10, or even 5, years ago, as i have found Yimou’s recent martial arts spectacles Hero and House of Flying Daggers to be as flawed in plot and script as they are gorgeous in cinematography, and as for Jackie Chan’s recent projects … well, the less said the better. Still, hope springs eternal.
