Review: Hell Comes to Frogtown (USA 1988)

I watched this grotty little treat recently as a tribute to the late, great Rowdy Roddy Piper. Actually, I did see about half of this on late night HBO as a misguided teen, but pretty much forgot everything. The film is dumb as a box of rocks, but in a self-aware “I’m all out of bubblegum” way, and quite fun. Romantically pairing Piper and the unique Sandahl Bergman definitely took some chutzpah, but their anti-chemistry is amusing, and the frog costumes are surprisingly effective.  You could do a lot worse.  2 out of 4 stars (okay).
